1. Who we are

Spoorthy Innovations Pvt Ltd builds and operates software for public drinking-water programmes, including the Smart Liquid Dispensing System (SLDS) used under the NTR Sujala programme. The NTR Sujala Android app provides authorised operators, agents and staff with access to programme portals, monitoring tools and related services.

For Google Play listing purposes, the developer / company named on the store listing is Spoorthy Innovations Pvt Ltd, and this policy covers the NTR Sujala application.

2. Information we collect

Depending on your role and how you use the app, we may process:

Account & authentication

• Username / login ID, password (stored hashed on our servers), organisation or plant association
• Session tokens and device identifiers needed to keep you signed in and enforce single-session security
• Optional captcha responses during sign-in to prevent automated abuse

Operational / programme data

• Consumer and smart-card related records you look up or update as part of your job (for example card ID, recharge and dispensing history)
• Plant / RDU / mother-plant status and telemetry visible in dashboards
• Support actions you perform (calibration, mapping, reports) with server transaction identifiers

Device & technical data

• App version, device model/OS, IP address, browser or WebView user agent
• Diagnostic logs needed to investigate failures, security events or abuse
• Approximate network location inferred from IP (not precise GPS unless separately enabled for a specific operational feature)

We do not sell personal information. We do not use the app for third-party advertising.

3. How we use information

• Authenticate users and authorise access to the correct organisation, plant or district data
• Operate water-supply metering, recharge, monitoring and support workflows
• Maintain security (fraud prevention, session control, audit trails)
• Improve reliability, diagnose errors and provide customer support
• Meet legal, contractual or governmental programme obligations

4. Sharing & disclosure

We may share information only as needed to run the programme:

• Programme operators / government stakeholders — authorised district or project agencies that own or oversee the water programme
• Service providers — hosting, SMS, e-mail or infrastructure vendors under confidentiality obligations
• Legal requirements — when required by applicable law, regulation or lawful request

We do not share user data with advertising networks or data brokers.

5. Data retention

Account credentials and operational records are retained for as long as needed to provide the service, meet programme / audit requirements, resolve disputes, and comply with law. When an account deletion request is completed, we delete or anonymise personal account data that is no longer required, except where retention is legally or contractually mandatory (for example financial or government audit logs).

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, hashed passwords, and server-side authorisation. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your login credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorised access.

7. Account & data deletion

If the NTR Sujala app allows you to create or hold a user account, you may request deletion of that account and associated personal data.

• Include your full name, username / login ID, organisation or plant name, and a reachable phone number.
• We will verify your identity and process eligible deletion requests, typically within 30 days.
• Some operational or statutory records may be retained in anonymised or restricted form where required by law or the water programme contract.
• If you still have the app installed, you may also contact your programme administrator or use in-app support channels where available.

8. Children

The app is intended for authorised adult operators and programme staff. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes notice of the revised policy where permitted by law. Material changes will be communicated through the app or store listing when appropriate.
